Incredible..
I wouldn't believe this myself, if it wasn't staring me in the face with its creepy little pink eyes. I don't know what to say; I'll elt you look at the pictures and decide for yourself.
I suggest reading the entire blog in chronological order to get the most benefit - click here to go right the way back to the beginning!

WOW, that's INCREDIBLE!!! I've never seen anything like this - look at it's eyes!! It looks like an albino kangaroo rat or something.. do you think it's lost its hair, or is just naturally hairless??
ReplyDeletethis is going to give me nightmares..
Oh my god!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, that's the weirdest thing I've ever seen. Seriously, call your local authorities, they'll want to know about this. It might be some kind of mutated rat, maybe there's some chemicals where they shouldn't be..
either way, you don't want to live with these things in your house! Tell your landlord right away, he'll pay for pest control services. GET RID OF THEM!!
That's definitely an albino SOMETHING.
ReplyDeletemaybe your theories aren't quite as far-fetched as I thought... I mean, it's possible that after living in a secluded situation for a long period of time, these things adapted, became albino, etc... (aren't white mice of similar colouring?)
maybe, a long time ago, some kid had a exotic rodents as pets, and they got out one day and.. evolved into this??
haha, you've got me theorising now..
update with more info!! I think you should take up the whole basement floor and get a proper look at all this. Maybe even tell the media? This could be a real scientific first!
Keep posting!!
This is a hoax. I've kept rats for 20 years, i've had albino rats & i've had hairless rats, and i'm telling you: this is a hoax.
DeleteThat thing in the jar... i dunno what it is (perhaps a shaved meerkat?) but i can tell you with absolute certainty it is not a member of any rattus family or genus. The only true rats are rattus rattus (indian black rat) & rattus norvegicus (norwegian brown rat).
Furthermore, this animal, whatever it is, is far too large to live in walls or under floorboards sustaining itself off dropped food, scraps & garbage. There's just no way. It's too big to fit in those spaces & would need a way more plentiful & reliable good source (not to mention the specialized diet needed to support a clearly exotic, non native species like this).
This thing didn't live under anyone's floorboards... unless they happen to live in an alternate dimension where purple frog wizards ride humpback whales up & down rainbow freeways in the sky.
